My Maiden Pilgrimage August 2009- This group anchored the energy of the Eagle in Peru!  I felt so humbled by the compassion this group had for one another.  We became like a family.  It was such a blessing for me to have had the opportunity to have these people for my maiden Pilgrimage.  Being on a Pilgrimage can be  pretty tough at times!  You're tired, you're sore and your shifting into change. Everyone allowed each other to be where they needed to be and supported them through this with such grace.  Thank you all so much for answering the call to come on this journey!  I love you all very much.

Our group experienced the giving of a white Eagle feather to Vidal, at an amazing Moon/Rainbow Temple, where he preformed a ceremony.  There were many children and Elders there to bear witness to this very Sacred event.
That opened the energy's for sure.... while doing a ceremony in Machu Picchu, we saw a Condor soaring in the sky just outside the perimeter of the site.  Then a young Andean Eagle came almost directly in front of us and rested on a ledge for all of us to admire.  That was a very special experience :)  we also witnessed a sun dog shortly after our ceremony.

While resting and having a snack in Machu Picchu, four of us were watching 3 Andean Eagles in the sky above us.  It was as if they were putting on a performance just for us.  One Eagle was flipping like and acrobat, when poof, it disappeared from the sky!  The sky was clear blue with not a cloud in it.  Now, if there were not 3 others watching the same Eagle and seeing the same thing as I did, I might think I were seeing things.  We witnessed Magic!  When I look at the pictures we took on magnify, I see a spot of light beside each Eagle.  Vidal told us it was the Spirit of the Eagle that was acknowledging us.

In Ollantaytambo Sacred Site, at the Temple of the Condor, Vidal gifted me with a Condor feather.  This sealed our role together as part of the Eagle and Condor Prophecy.  Vidal shared that this exchange also meant that he would have to come to my land (Canada), we have agreed that he and Juan will come in October 2010.

Our time at Lake Titicaca was very special indeed.  Our journey began with exploring the Reed Islands and meeting the people of the Islands.  I knew from the beginning of our trip that there was something very special that would happen at Lake Titicaca.  While visiting Sacred Site, Amaru Muro,  a dimensional doorway(Andean Eagles were nesting everywhere) one of our  Pilgrims (a Cree woman from Toronto) announced she was going to do a pipe ceremony at the site. I had long awaited for this : )  It was dusk as we prepared the area and built a fire.  As she began, children came out of the darkness, elders, male and female came.  The children sat on our laps as the ceremony took place.  The pipe was passed around and Juan told them they could smoke the pipe if they wished and the children could touch it.  Some of the elder women smoked the pipe.  It was surreal to watch and I became overcome with emotion as I counted between 60-70 people!  It was such a beautiful experience for all of us.  Juan spoke to the people about their needs in the village, as we learned it was a forgotten village.  Group members donated 20us to purchase rice, clothing, staple foods and most wanted by the children, soccer and volleyballs!  The next day we delivered the donations.  That again was a very wonderful and emotional time.  These people were so desperate, you could see the desperation in their eyes.  As the gifts were handed out, you could see happiness and excitement come over their faces.  Juan communicated for me with the Elder and the school teacher to find out what their needs were to become a more sustainable village.  I vowed to return with the things they needed on my next trip in March.  On our next visit we will go to the school and bring school supplies for the children.

And last but certainly not least, I was asked by my friend, Lorenzo(Quechuan Ceremonial Shaman) to be his youngest sons godmother.  Wow, several Pilgrims participated in the hair cutting ceremony.  At 2 years old, his son had never had his hair cut before this time.  Needless to say, another emotional time!  LOL

Ready to go back home, we had a difficult time to say goodbye to our family in Peru, they took such special care of us.  There, you don't say goodbye, its see you later ....  I will return and I hope you will join me when I do  :)

Many, many,  thanks to all my brothers and sister.  I love you.
May the light always shine brightly on your path.
