PHYSICAL DEMANDS of the PILGRIMAGE: We offer a relatively easy Peruvian tour with no hard trekking and no trekking on the Inca Trail . There are a lot of steps in each site and lots of walking in high altitude. Most healthy people are able to enjoy this trip with ease. We walk slow and take our time. We are a spiritual group, so we don't rush. We have experienced people suffering with asthma, cancer and physical difficulties and they were able to do the tour without too much difficulty. If spirit is calling you to come we will do everything possible to make it happen for you. We recommend that you begin to increase your cardio endurance and step climbing prior to the tour, to ease the physical demands.
ON ALTITUDE: We have a lot of advice for dealing with the altitude in our Inca Pilgrimage Guide Book. If you follow our suggestions, you should do wonderfully. Oxygen is available at most hotels that we stay in. People with heart disease and/or anemia can have more difficulties.
